Following the trip I organized last year in Berlin for the Spanish Red de Teatros Públicos (Spanish Network of Public Theatres), this manual has been edited from the  theatres visited on the occasion. I recommend its reading to cultural managers of theatres and artistic venues. Not only for the information given but to know other views and ways of managing cultural spaces. The German model of Repertoire Theatre is well defined and identified in this handbook.

In the manual you can find the characteristic features of historic theaters like Schaubühne, Deutsches Theater or Volksbühne, performing arts venues linked to the most avant-garde movements as HAU Berlin 1,2,3, Sophiensaele or Radialsystem, and the classic and conservatives Staatsballett Berlin and the Staatsoper unter den Linden. You will also find a horizontal view of the structure of performing arts creation and exhibition of a German medium scale town like Potsdam.
